Mumbles & West Cross Photographic Society Monthly Competitions

Club competitions, normally held monthly, are open to fully paid up members of Mumbles & West Cross Photographic Society only.

All entries must a)  bear the author's membership number (but, preferably, no name) and b)  a title which is useful for identification.

Size of mounts must not exceed 50cm by 40cm, minimum size of photograph 7" by 5".

Digital images to be 1400 by 1050 pixels maximum, other details to be as each competition specifies. 1024 by 768 pixels will appear smaller on the screen.

Slides for projection must be mounted, correctly spotted (Left hand lower corner) as viewed, right hand upper corner when loaded for projection.

No entries previously submitted to Mumbles & West Cross P.S. competitions may be used as subsequent entries, unless they have been substantially altered.

A maximum of three prints and three projected images (slides or dpi) per member may be entered in each competition, the two highest scores counting towards the year end total. The same image cannot be entered for print and projected image in the same year unless substantially different.

All work submitted for competitions must be the copyright of the member, but may be processed or printed commercially.

Annual Trophies are Peter Jeans Memorial Trophy for the best print and also the best projected image. Trophies to be returned at the end of the year. The Rosalind England Trophy for the highest overall score of prints and projected images from monthly competitions.
